But in order to achieve this state, the space had to go through some major changes. The space used to be an old office unit and it’s difficult to imagine that it could have been anything but a beautiful home. It was a project by FARM and was completed in 2011. But while the overall impression is that of a contemporary décor, the loft also features a selection of preserved elements such as the brick wall and the original doors. This modular system replaces the middle wall and also integrates kitchen appliances, bookshelves, wardrobe and a walk-in closet. It’s a huge storage space for the entire loft and measures 10 meters in length and 9 meters in height. To achieve that, the architects focused on organizing the space via an oversized closet that connects all the floors.
The goal for this project was to create a vertical loft without walls, with three levels that would form a continuous space.

The loft is composed of a series of spaces that have been custom-designed in order to respond to the client’s requirements. The project was a creation of Shift Architecture Urbanism who had to completely reinvent and renovate the space. It’s a contemporary loft created in a dilapidated residence.
